These Terms & Conditions explain the rules, responsibilities and conditions that apply when using One QR Scan, including our Vehicle QR and emergency communication services.
Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing, registering for, purchasing, activating or using any One QR Scan service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not create an account, purchase a One QR product, activate a QR profile or use the applicable One QR services.
These Terms apply to account owners, vehicle owners, QR users and other people who access or interact with One QR services.
What One QR provides
One QR Scan provides QR-based identification, emergency communication and vehicle recovery functionality.
A One QR Vehicle QR can be attached to a vehicle or another supported item. When scanned, it can provide selected information configured by the owner.
QR Identification
Connect a physical QR with a digital profile.
Emergency Contact
Help a finder communicate with configured trusted contacts.
Vehicle Recovery
Help someone who finds a vehicle contact the owner or their contacts.
Account and registration
Certain One QR services require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating or maintaining your account.
- Provide accurate and current information.
- Keep your account information reasonably up to date.
- Protect your mobile device and authentication information.
- Do not knowingly allow another person to misuse your account.
Using your Vehicle QR
The Vehicle QR is intended to help identify a vehicle and provide a communication path between a finder and the vehicle owner or configured emergency contacts.
You are responsible for attaching the QR securely and keeping the associated digital information accurate.
If your phone number, emergency contacts or vehicle information changes, update your One QR profile so that a person finding the vehicle can reach the correct contact.
Emergency contacts
You may add family members, friends or other trusted people as emergency contacts where the service allows.
You are responsible for ensuring that the people you add are aware that their contact information may be used for emergency communication and may be displayed to a person who scans the QR.
Do not add a person's contact information without appropriate permission or a legitimate reason to use that person as an emergency contact.
Responsibilities of QR scanners
A person who scans a One QR may receive information intended to help during an emergency or vehicle recovery situation.
By using the scan page, you agree to use the information only for a legitimate and lawful purpose connected with the situation in which the QR was scanned.
Do not use emergency contact numbers, vehicle information or other displayed information for harassment, spam, marketing, stalking, fraud or any unrelated purpose.
Information you provide
You are responsible for the information you submit to One QR, including your personal details, vehicle information, emergency contacts and other profile information.
You must not intentionally upload or provide false, misleading, fraudulent, unlawful or unauthorised information.
Vehicle documents
Where One QR provides document storage, you may upload vehicle-related documents such as licence, registration, insurance, pollution or other supported documents.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to upload and store those documents.
Protected information
Vehicle documents are intended to remain separate from the normal public QR scan information and may require the applicable security mechanism for access.
Location features
Certain One QR features may use browser-based location functionality. Location access may require permission from the device or browser being used.
One QR does not guarantee that a device's location will be available, accurate or continuously accessible.
Prohibited activities
You must not use One QR services in a way that could harm another person, compromise the service or interfere with legitimate emergency communication.
Purchases and payments
Certain One QR products and services may require payment before activation or fulfilment.
Payment transactions may be processed through third-party payment service providers. Payment information may therefore be subject to the terms and privacy practices of the applicable payment provider.
One QR may use payment providers such as Razorpay to process applicable transactions securely.
Service availability
We aim to keep One QR services available and functional, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available from every device, network or location.
Service availability may be affected by maintenance, network failures, hosting problems, device limitations, third-party services or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Emergency-service limitation
One QR is a communication and identification service. It is not a replacement for police, ambulance, fire, roadside assistance or other official emergency services.
A QR scan may help establish communication with an owner or trusted contact, but One QR cannot guarantee that a person will scan the QR, answer a call, have accurate information, or be able to respond.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, One QR and its service providers are not responsible for losses arising from a scanner's inability to scan a QR, inaccurate information supplied by a user, unavailable emergency contacts, network or device failures, third-party service failures, misuse of scanned information, or events outside our reasonable control.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to a One QR account or service where we reasonably believe that the service is being used unlawfully, fraudulently, abusively or in violation of these Terms.
You may stop using the service at any time. Certain information may continue to be retained where required for legitimate operational, security, transaction or legal purposes.
Intellectual property
The One QR name, logo, website design, software, graphics, interfaces, content and other platform materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use the One QR service only for its intended purposes. You must not reproduce, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the platform or its proprietary materials without appropriate permission.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to One QR services, features, security practices or applicable requirements.
The updated version will be published on this page together with a revised "Last Updated" date.
